Post Caps and Deck Lights make your deck unique!

Hello, I'm Steve Hodes Jr., owner of Moonlight Decks.

I created these lighted post caps because, like you, I was looking for a unique way set my deck apart from the neighbors.  I searched everywhere I could think of to find deck lighting to fit 6x6 posts. Finding nothing I really liked, I decided I would have to make the deck light myself.  As you will see, the results are stunning!

The Hammered version of my post caps has just been approved for a design patent by the U.S. Patent Office. You won't find any other deck lights like mine!

I started off building my own deck and thought that I really wanted something different from the typical deck.  So I initially bought some copper caps that only lasted about a week after a small hail storm here in Kansas City.  I thought to myself that someone had to make a thicker post cap.

So I talked with a friend of mine who is a sculptor and artist.  We came up with the idea of the Hammered, sand-cast post cap.

Then the proverbial light bulb went off - "We should put a light in it!" 

So we did, and we lit it with low voltage wiring.  It looked amazing! 

Then another brilliant idea - "We should sell these!"

So we do, and now we provide a great looking, heavy duty, lighted post cap for anyone who wants to do something unique for their deck.
