Solar Step Lights and Solar Railing Lights
These solar lights are brand new. The images below are of 3 prototypes. The lights are perfect to use as railing lights, or step lights, or path lights, or even just out on your table. Scroll down this page to see more night shots of them. They attach to the railing with 2 screws. 2 Screws and you're done with installation!
I will be using these lights on the Copper Round Post Caps for Log Cabin style railings and Docks as well.

BRAND NEW!
This new solar step light and railing light is a really classy way to light up a railing or stairway.
Scroll down this page to see more photos of it at night.

The glass part of the solar step light is actually a round acrylic approximately 3 inches tall and 4.25 inches in diameter.
The round design allows the light from the inverted cone LED to shoot out in all directions.
360 degree light!
Other step and railing lights only allow the light to come out in 2 directions.

Incredibly easy to install !
Just 2 screws!
The solar panel needs as much sunlight as possible.
Using this solar light on railings is perfect.
Using it on stairs is a little trickier.
|
 |
For lighting your stairs: Make sure you observe where the sunlight hits your stairs the most during the day.
Then place your new solar step light where it will get the most sunlight, but also be out of the way so it is not a tripping hazard.
Plus, it does have that spike on the top to keep the birds off of it. So you definitely Don't want to step on that!
Please be careful and consider yourself warned if you do use these as step lights.
The spiked part of the light is removeable!

I use an amber colored LED in my solar lights.
The yellow light produced is not nearly as harsh as some of the other solar lights.
Also, it doesn't make your deck and stairs look like an airport runway!
|
 |
It's so hard to get a good night shot of deck lights.
These photos don't necessarily do these lights justice.
I recommend buying just one to start out with. That way you can see for yourself whether you like the amount of light it puts out.
Solar is not as bright as low voltage as you can tell by the lighted post caps next to these solar railing lights.
|
 |
You can see the difference in lighting effects between my low voltage lighted post caps and the solar step lights in this picture and the one above this.
In this picture, I turned the low voltage lights off so you only see the solar lights.
